About Me I recently celebrated the 8th anniversary of my 27th birthday. Mother of three wonderful daughters who are 17, 8, and 4 years old. I homeschool the two younger girls, but my oldest chooses to attend the local Southern Baptist Church-associated private school where she is a junior. I am a life-long student, both self-taught and traditionally educated. Doctor of Naturopathy, Reiki Master, Professional Herbalist, Professional Aromatherapist, and way too many other degrees, certifications, etc to go into here. Currently writing a book on the subject of Alternative Medicine/Healing and I welcome any and all questions that you may have. I am here to help!
    Music Nearly anything!
Movies Currently my personal collection of DVD's tops 400 so my tastes are varied here as well.
TV Sci-Fi; The History Channel; Cartoon Network(he he!)
Books Anything on Health related issues. Library sooo large that my husband says that I need another book like a need a whole in my head!(Wonder what he means by that!!!)
Likes Sunshine, fresh air, the laughter of children (even the ones who are "all grown up")cooking (especially if it's a very challenging "gourmet" type recipe, I love a challenge)baking bread, making magickal candles, anything creative and crafty!
Dislikes Close-minded,loud-mouthed,ignorant know it alls. People who are cruel to animals, children, and each other. Two-faced, back-stabbing liars. Intolerant bigots. I could go on, but I think you get where I'm going with this!
Hobbies Alternative/Herbal Medicine and anything along those lines.
Vices Deep, dark. rich chocolate!!! A very vicious Scotch/Irish temper. I do have a real mean streak for those who really cross me and I don't forgive easily and I NEVER forget.
Virtues Deep, dark, rich chocolate!!! (Hey, Doctors say its high in antioxidants and you should eat one ounce per day for heart health!) Honesty, intense loyalty, generosity, compassion (I'd better stop, I'm making myself blush)
Heroes My children. They teach me new things every day and if I don't get too caught up in the business of being a grown up they make sure that every day is fun, unique, and special.

    Ingnorace strikes again!

It's truly unbelievable to me that the old wiccan/witch/pagan stereotypes still exists to such an extent in this day and age of Political Correctness. This regards a single female friend of mine and the conversation that we had this weekend. She had gotten on Google and tried to find "where to meet people in Prattville". As you can imagine pages and pages of site came up, everything from people with fibromyagia to the local knitting club. There were four or five pagan related sites. Prattville is a small town in the middle of Alabama.EVERYONE here is a christian and thinks that everyone else is too. Now my friend is not the church lady type, in fact it's been decades since she has set foot in a church, but she still considers herself a christian. She was both shocked and horrified that there were "witches" in our small community and immediately started a long-winded speech blaming the "witches" for everything bad that had happened lately, from the thunder storms (typical for this time of year) to the possibility that "they" were responsible for the abduction and murder of a 12 year old girl five years ago. "You just never know what they could be doing right here under our very noses."

(It goes without saying that my religious beliefs are kept to myself, even and especially around friends and family). I let her have her say, then quietly responded by telling her that I knew quite a bit about the subject and she had been grossly misinformed. I explained the Rule of Three and the Wiccan Rede and some of the basic wiccan beliefs. She was really very quiet after that, I don't know if I have just "outed" myself or if she will think about what I said and perhaps change some of her misconceptions. Either way my life here may be about to get more interesting that I want as she is the host of a local morning talk show. She is a friend and I do care about her, but in all honesty the show couldn't be called an intellegent show. I guess we will see what happens next!

My Husband did the most wonderful thing for me Saturday…..he made me a Pentagram of stone in my back yard. It’s a six foot circle and I just went out under the Full Moon and “Blessed” it. I feel that I have my own “Sacred” space in the World!

Hi there! I know what you're talking about, since I've decided half n half to not celebrate beyond my 35th birthday. I just have to use those digit shaped candles once in my life, then I'm done with it.

Best wishes as far as your talkshow-friend is conscerned and good luck!
